The Guenntertainment Report
MICHAEL JACKSON HAD LETHAL LEVELS OF PROPOFOL IN HIS SYSTEM WHEN HE DIED:
Tuesday August 25th, 2009
A search warrant affidavit related to the investigation into MICHAEL JACKSON'S death was unsealed in Houston yesterday. And it claims that Michael had LETHAL LEVELS of the anesthetic propofol in his system when he died.
The associated press is also reporting that police have ruled Michael's death a HOMICIDE. That doesn't necessarily mean Michael was MURDERED. The two things aren't the same. By "homicide", they just mean Michael was killed by someone else.
Obviously, this doesn't bode well for DR. CONRAD MURRAY . . . the man who was administering propofol to Michael when he died back on June 25th.
The affidavit offers a timeline of events leading up to Michael's death . . . which was supposedly given to police investigators by Dr. Murray himself.
Murray told police he'd been giving Michael 50 milligrams of propofol intravenously EVERY NIGHT for about six weeks, because he couldn't sleep.
But Murray was concerned that Michael was becoming addicted to the drug, so he cut the dosage in half and mixed it with two less-powerful sedatives.
On June 23rd, just two days before Michael's death, Dr. Murray just gave him the two other sedatives . . . minus the propofol.
Early on the morning of June 25th, Murray once again tried to withhold the propofol. Between 1:30 and 10:40 A.M., he gave Michael various sedatives in an effort to help him sleep.
By 10:40, though, he finally gave in to Michael's demands and administered 25 milligrams of propofol.
About 10 minutes later, he left Michael alone to make some phone calls. When he returned at around 11:00 A.M., Michael wasn't breathing. He tried to administer CPR while one of Michael's staffers called 911.
The affidavit says that Dr. Murray also noted that Michael was very familiar with propofol . . . and referred to it as "MILK".
Dr. Murray's attorney, Ed Chernoff, is already trying to get out in front of this. He released a statement last night disputing some of the claims in this affidavit. Here's his statement . . .
"Much of what was in the search warrant affidavit is factual. However, unfortunately, much is police theory. Most egregiously, the timeline reported by law enforcement was not obtained through interviews with Dr. Murray, as was implied by the affidavit.
"Dr. Murray simply never told investigators that he found Michael Jackson at 11:00 am not breathing.
"He also never said that he waited a mere ten minutes before leaving to make several phone calls. In fact, Dr. Murray never said that he left Michael Jackson's room to make phone calls at all."
An attorney for Michael's mother, KATHERINE JACKSON, released a statement responding to the alleged HOMICIDE ruling . . . (--which is UNOFFICIAL, mind you.)
He said, "This report reaffirms the very sad reality that there was a tragic and gross violation of duty and care for Michael Jackson. There is obvious legal culpability which has been the concern of Michael's mother, family and fans worldwide."
