"THE HILLS" DRAMA, STRAIGHT FROM THE GIRLS:

KRISTIN CAVALLARI and JOHN MAYER recently denied rumors that they were in a "friends-with-benefits" relationship. But Kristin now says John TRIED to get her horizontal . . . and she DENIED him.
Kristin says she only met John briefly, and he asked her out. But she says, "I just feel like I don't need to be another notch on his belt." Although she added, "He's a really nice guy."
(--Kristin also denied that AUDRINA PATRIDGE makes more money than her for "The Hills". We heard a report yesterday that Audrina makes $100,000 per episode and Kristin makes $90,000.)
(--Kristin says that's not true. But she didn't say how much either of them pull down.)
HEIDI MONTAG has denied a report on a website called TheDailyBeast.com, which claimed that MTV was paying her and some of her other cast mates on "The Hills" $100,000 an episode.
Heidi told "Access Hollywood", "Those figures are definitely wrong. We have never made that and we are not making that. I wish that were true!"
She wouldn't reveal her actual salary . . . she just said, "[It's] top secret, but it is not what you would think at all."
But Heidi claimed the money didn't matter anyway. She said, "I do 'The Hills' for the love of it. I don't do it for the money." (--TheDailyBeast.com claimed the five biggest "Hills" stars were making between $65,000 and $100,000 an episode.)
