THE GOSSELIN GIRLS HAD THEIR BIRTHDAY PARTY . . . WITH BOTH PARENTS . . . AND "WORLD WAR 3" DIDN'T BREAK OUT:
Friday October 9th, 2009
Yesterday, JON and KATE GOSSELIN held that "controversial" birthday party for their twin nine-year-old girls, Mady and Cara . . . and the world didn't end!!!
They worked out some sort of deal so that Jon could stay for the whole evening . . . and not just for the two-hour window she had tried to limit him to earlier this week. So, it did NOT turn into the, "World War 3" that Jon was preparing for.
Jon told the cameras, "I'm staying until the kids go to bed. We're trying to be cordial for Mady and Cara." He also said that the party went, "fine."
Wait . . . cameras? Yes, despite the fact that he thinks TV is ruining his family, Jon walked down to the end of his property to entertain a pack of paparazzi that were chilling out on the other side of the fence.
He even signed t-shirts for a few women in the crowd.
But that's not all. Cameras from "Entertainment Tonight" were following him around earlier in the day, apparently with his permission. TMZ even claims that Jon "struck a deal" with "ET" to allow them to film the birthday party.
That'd be pretty hypocritical of him . . . if it were true. As far as we know, "Entertainment Tonight" didn't go into their house . . . although they did get some shots of Jon picking his girls up after school.
They also have footage of Jon picking up the girls' birthday cake at some nice bakery in New York City . . . and a 30-second clip of him pulling into his driveway.
By the way, Mady's name was spelled wrong on the cake . . . it had two "Ds" instead of one . . . and ALL the various entertainment sites were talking about it last night.
We've all received a cake with a misspelling on it, that's not a big deal. And we know for sure this one wasn't Jon's fault, because it was the thoughtful people at "Entertainment Tonight" who ordered the cake.
