KATE GOSSELIN IS ASKING FOR CHILD AND SPOUSAL SUPPORT:

JON and KATE GOSSELIN are still squabbling over money.

Last week, Kate filed court papers asking Jon to return around $230,000 that he allegedly took from their joint account.  There's still no resolution on that . . . but now, she's also asking for Jon to pay her child support and temporary spousal support.

There's no word on exactly how much she wants.  Her lawyer merely said,  "She needs relief in light of the draining of substantial marital assets in violation of the arbitrator's decision that the money should be used only for specific purposes."

Jon hasn't directly responded, but he has said, "We are hoping in the next few days we can all do some bookkeeping.  I'm pretty sure this can come to a cordial resolution."

Some of this could be settled tomorrow, when both sides are scheduled to meet with a court-appointed arbitrator.

Meanwhile, TMZ claims that Jon also filed papers last week, claiming that Kate withdrew over $60,000 from their joint account this summer . . . and that she took out over $1 million between February of last year and this past June.

That's a lot of money, but there may not be a problem with that.  Kate reportedly IS allowed to use money from that account to cover their family's expenses without Jon signing off on it.  And before they split, she could probably take whatever she wanted.
