DID HOWARD K. STERN USED TO "COOK" VALIUM AND INJECT IT INTO ANNA NICOLE SMITH???

The preliminary hearing for ANNA NICOLE SMITH'S three alleged drug enablers continued yesterday . . . with some more damaging evidence against HOWARD K. STERN.

Anna's former bodyguard, Maurice "Big Moe" Brighthaupt, told the judge that Howard used to inject Anna with drugs . . . including LIQUID VALIUM.

Supposedly, Howard told him that he and Anna decided the Valium would work faster if he "cooked" it until it was a liquid and then injected it directly into Anna's bloodstream.

Meanwhile, a Florida medical examiner testified that the abscess on Anna's buttock . . . which was the result of drug injections, may have contributed to her death.

He said, "[Infections] would have had an impact on her ability to withstand the drugs.  Her respiratory system could also have been compromised."

This hearing STILL isn't over, by the way.  LARRY BIRKHEAD . . . the father of Anna's daughter Dannielynn . . . will be on the stand today.
