CHARLIZE THERON MADE OUT WITH A WOMAN . . . FOR CHARITY:

On Thursday night, Charlize was taking part in an auction for OneXOne . . . a charity that benefits Third World children.

She was trying to raise bids for a trip to South Africa that included World Cup tickets and a meet-and-greet with NELSON MANDELA.

But when the bidding stalled at $37,000, Charlize upped the ante by throwing in a KISS.

Suddenly, people were bidding again.  The whole package . . . including a 20-second kiss . . . went for $140,000.  And the winner was . . . A WOMAN!!!

And, like a professional porno star or a college coed being filmed by a "Girls Gone Wild" camera crew, Charlize honored her commitment right there on the stage.

By the way . . . before Charlize took the stage, "Entourage" star JEREMY PIVEN had just raised $280,000.  So when the bidding stalled at 37-grand for Charlize, she wasn't happy.

She told the crowd, "For (eff's) sake!  You can do better.  There is no way I am leaving here with Jeremy Piven getting a higher bid.  I've got (boobs) for God's sake."
