KIRSTIE ALLEY WILL STAR IN A REALITY SHOW ABOUT HER STRUGGLES WITH HER WEIGHT:

In that Showtime series "Fat Actress" a few years back, KIRSTIE ALLEY made fun of her weight problem.  Now, in a new A&E reality show, she'll try to DO SOMETHING about her weight problem.

Kirstie announced the show yesterday.  It doesn't have a title yet, but it'll begin filming this month . . . and is expected to premiere sometime early next year.

An A&E rep says, "Kirstie is exactly the kind of star A&E is drawn to.  Her personal life has been playing out in the media for years, but this will be the first time she'll be opening up her home to reveal her real life for the cameras." 

According to "Variety", the show won't JUST be about her weight . . .

Kirstie will also be, "producing a feature film, patenting multiple inventions, working hard to raise two normal Hollywood teenagers, taking care of eight ringtail lemurs and, on top of everything, looking for love."
