A GUY ACCIDENTALLY SENT A TEXT MESSAGE TO THE WRONG NUMBER AND IT ENDED UP IN A SHOOTING

Question:  What happens when one idiot sends a text message to the wrong number, and the stranger who gets it also happens to be a complete idiot?  Well, most of the time the answer is "nothing."  But sometimes, unfathomable stupidity ensues.  Listen to this . . .

Early Tuesday morning, 22-year-old Scott Elder and 24-year-old Brian Matison of Savannah, Georgia, got into an argument after one of them dialed the wrong number and accidentally sent the other one a text message. 

Now, if faced with that situation, most rational people would just let the other person know that they had the wrong number and that would be it.  But not these boneheads.  Instead, they started exchanging rude texts and phone calls with one another. 

Things got so out of hand that eventually Scott and Brian agreed to meet up at a nearby CVS parking lot so they could settle their dispute like REAL MEN.  But when Brian showed up, Scott pulled out a gun and shot him.

Brian was rushed to the hospital where he's in serious condition.  And Scott was arrested and charged with aggravated assault.  If he's convicted, he could get up to 20 years in prison. 

According to a police spokesman, "They allowed a text message conversation to escalate to physical violence.  It was just one of those senseless things."  (Savannah Morning News)
